Complaint regarding food safety or food poisoning

Did feel unwell after eating a food or did you find a foreign material in the food? Did you witness a food safety and hygiene violation in a business or restaurant? You can submit a complaint by filling out the following form.

Your complaint will be handled by the inspection services of the ministère de l’Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l’Alimentation.

A complaint is admissible only if the following criteria are met:

The complainant must have directly witnessed the incident or cause for dissatisfaction.
The complaint must concern a specific location, which must be within Quebec.
The complaint must not concern the subject of litigation between the complainant and the operator in question.
Complaints about food poisoning must be reported within 30 days of the incident.
Complaints about hygiene, safety or the presence of a foreign body (not related to a health issue) must be reported within 45 days of the incident.
