A complaint is admissible only if the following criteria are met:
- The complainant must have directly witnessed the incident or cause for dissatisfaction.
- The complaint must concern a specific location, which must be within Quebec.
- The complaint must not concern the subject of litigation between the complainant and the operator in question.
- Complaints about food poisoning must be reported within 30 days of the incident.
- Complaints about hygiene, safety or the presence of a foreign body (not related to a health issue) must be reported within 45 days of the incident.
